Speaker Request
We accept speaker requests from various organizations on behalf of The King Center, Mr. Dexter Scott King, Mr. Martin Luther King, III, and the Rev. Bernice King.
To assist you in selecting the most appropriate person for your event, biographies are provided here for your consideration:
Requests may be faxed, emailed, or mailed--but must be in writing--to the King Center Communications Department. Please include the following information:
- Who is being requested. If you are requesting ANY member of the King family, please indicate your preferred order for the request.
- Date and Time of the event.
- Subject Matter. What is the topic of discussion? What is the topic of the program or setting?
- The Amount of Time being requested.
- Deadline. By including a deadline for an answer, we may be able to determine whether or not that deadline can be met from the start.
- Location. City, State, Country, venue location.
- Additional Footage. Determines whether Dr. King's Intellectual property (i.e. his image, speeches, sermons, voice, footage etc.) will be used.
The normal response time for speaking engagement requests varies depending upon schedules but is generally two-three weeks.
